Elementals 2026
Elementals are spirits tied to the elements of the natural world: earth, water, air and fire.
The term carries distinct meanings depending on whether it is viewed through mythology and alchemy context.
As this series started to develop, I was on a bike ride when I heard a kind of whisper in my ear. “The Elementals are ready!”
Since I’ve designed several tarot decks, I’m familiar with the four elements as symbolized there. Cups symbolize water and emotions. Swords represent air and thoughts. Wands represent fire, the spark of creation and action. Pentacles symbolize earth, and our connection to health and wealth.
We are living in a time of the divine feminine rising. Mother Earth is done putting up with abuse, pollution and destruction. The women in these paintings represent the soft sensual side of women who are relaxed in their own skin. They can remind us that we are all an intrinsic part of nature.
