Hygge (pronounced hoo-gah) is a Danish concept of coziness, comfort, and deep contentment that comes from slowing down and enjoying life’s simple, everyday pleasures.

This series wrestles with the questions, “What is the feeling of home? What does it mean to be human?”
Being human is colorful, messy, textured and can feel slightly off-kilter. These works feel like a long gentle exhale in a world that can be chaotic. It is my hope that they help you find shelter from the storm.
They also celebrate a dear friend who passed away last Spring. She left behind many gorgeous saris for her family. Most have textures of the beautiful fabrics expressed in the background.
